Professor Zhou Hanhua, Professor Zhou Hui and Professor Wang Xiaoye Attend the Third Thirty-person Forum on the Rule of Lawin Cyberspace

The Third Thirty-person Forum on the Rule of Law in Cyberspace, sponsored by Cyber and Information Law Research Committee of China Law Society and organized by the Law School of Central South University, was held in Changsha City, Hunan Province on October 20, 2018. The forum was attended by over 100 experts and scholars from over 50 research institutions, more than a dozen model communication and Internet platforms, as well as representatives fromvarious government organs and social organizations, including the Office of Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee and China Electronic Commerce Association.

The forum took “Obligations and Duties of Internet Platforms” as it theme and was divided into six units, in which the participants gave speeches and carried out discussions on such topics as theories of responsibilities of Internet platforms, typical obligations of Internet platforms; online car-hailing platforms and on-line catering platforms, responsibilities of on-line bicycle-sharing platforms and on-line financial platforms, e-trade platforms and search engine platforms, and types and realities of obligations of Internet platforms.

Three researchers from CASS Law Institute, Professor Zhou Hanhua, Assistant Director of the Institute and Executive Vice President of Cyber and Information Law Research Committee of China Law Society, Professor Wang Xiaoye, a research fellow of the Institute, and Professor Zhou Hui, a research fellow at CASS Center for the Study of Cultural Law, attended the forum. Professor Zhou Hanhua gave a keynote speech at the opening ceremony and Professor Zhou Hui presided over the third unit of the forum.
