The General Office of the Ministry of Civil Affairs issued the Notice on the Designation of Civil Affairs Policy and Theory Research Bases at the Symposium on the Study of Civil Affairs Policy and Theory in a New Era, held on 27 April 2019. The notice designates 23 universities and research institutions, including CASS Law Institute, CASS Institute of International, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Nanjing University, as its policy and theory research bases. As two of the research bases, CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law will put their emphasis of their researches in this area on “the construction of the rule of law and top-level design in civil affairs”. At the symposium, Professor Mo Jihong, Director of CASS Institute of International Law and the person in charge of the two CASS research bases, accepted the plagues of research basis on behalf of the two CASS institutes.
