On March 15, 2019, a 16-member delegation of Macao Youth Association of Patriotic Education and the Think Thank of Patriotic Young Ph.D. visited CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law and attended a lecture given by Professor Mo Jihong, Director of CASS Institute of International Law.

 

In the lecture, Professor Mo gave an introduction to the background, the basic principles, and the main content of the Outline Development Plan of the Central Government and the State Council for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, pointed out that the basic positioning of Macao in the outline development plan is “to develop into a world-class tourism and leisure center and a commerce and trade cooperation service platform between China and Lusophone countries, promote an appropriate level of diversified economic development, and develop into a base for exchange and cooperation where Chinese culture is the mainstream and diverse cultures coexist”, and elaborated on the main opportunities faced by Macao in the era of development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In the lecture, Professor Mo also gave members of the delegation a brief introduction to the historical development and academic achievements of the two CASS institutes, and explored with them the possibility of cooperation between the two CASS institute and related institutions in Macao in carrying out patriotic education, establishing practice base and implementing scientific research projects.
