The Seminar on “Law-based Society and Legal Education” was held at CASS Law Institute in Beijing on November 17, 2018. The seminar,organized as a part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of CASS Law Institute, was attended by current and former leaders of CASS Law Institute, CASS Institute of International Law and the Law Faculty of CASS Graduate school as well as over 50 alumni and teachers of the Law Faculty of CASS Graduate School, including Professor Li Lin, Director of CASS Law Institute and Dean of the Faculty of Law of CASS Graduate School, Professor Mo Jihong, Deputy Director of CASS Law Institute, Professor Li Lin, former Director of CASS Law Institute and former Dean of the Faculty of Law of CASS Graduate School, and Professor Chen Zexian, former Director of CASS Institute of International Law. At the seminar, which was divided into four units: the opening ceremony, “the development of the rule of law and the legal profession”, “legal reform and graduate education”, and the closing ceremony, the participants discussed the new problems, new development and new goals of law-based society and legal education and shared their experiences and research results in the relevant fields.
