This is a collection of Professor Zhen Chengsi’s writings on intellectual property law, compiled and annotated by an editorial board made up of his friends, colleagues and students. It is divided into the following six volumes, with a total of eight books: (1) Trademark and Ant-Unfair Competition: this volume contains Professor Zheng’s main writings in the fields of trademark and anti-unfair competition, focusing especially on such issues as the legal status of trademark, the role played by trademark right in the resolution of conflicts of priority rights, prevention of reverse passing-off, protection of famous trademarks, and anti-unfair competition; (2) Basic Theories: this volume introduces the evolution, the unique quality and trend of development of intellectual property right, analyzes the connections and binderies between intellectual property law and other branches of law, and reviews the development of intellectual property system in contemporary China; (3) Copyright and Neighboring Right: this volume systematically introduces the copyright law systems in China and other main countries in the world, including the basic theories and practices of copyright protection, important international conventions and classic international and domestic cases; (4) Patent and Transfer of Technology (Part I and Part II): this volume is a collection of Professor Zheng’s main writings relating to patent law and transfer of technology. (5) International Conventions and Foreign Laws (part I and Part II): this volume is a collection of international conventions and foreign laws discussed in Professor Zheng’s writings, arranged according to the nature, title and country of these conventions and laws; and (6) Scholarship: this volume is a collection of Professor Zheng’s prefaces and introduction to his books, book reviews, lectures, short newspaper articles, etc., which reflect his attitude towards various issues of intellectual property law and his experiences of doing research on intellectual property law.
