The Seminar on the Revision of the Banking Law, jointly organized by the Finance, Tax and Banking Law Research Institute and the Financial Law Research Center of the School of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law of China University of Political Science and Law and China Society of Banking Law, was held at China University of Political Science and Law on June 22, 2019. At the seminar, which was divided into four units, the participants gave speeches and carried out discussions around such topics as the objectives, structure and relations of the revision of the Banking Law, the purposes, structure and relations of foreign banks in China, norms on the governance, business and polices of banks, and norms on banking technology, foreign capital, and crisis treatment. Professor Xi Yuemin, Head of the Economic Law Department of CASS Law Institute and Vice Dean of the Law Faculty of CASS Graduate School, attended the seminar and gave a speech on the revision of the Law on Commercial Banks at the third unit of the seminar.
