The First Seminar on the Prevention of Legal Risks and Dispute Resolution in International Freight Forwarding Industry was held in Beijing on May 17, 2019. The seminar was jointly sponsored by China Maritime Arbitration Commission and China International Freight Forwarders Association and attended by 200 representatives from enterprises, law firms, universities and research institutions. At the seminar, which was divided into two units, the participants discussed various issues around the following two topics: “the development of the international freight forwarding industry and the improvement of related legal risk prevention system in a new situation” and “the practice of legal risk prevention in international freight forwarding industry”. Professor Zhang Wenguang, an associate research fellow at CASS Institute of International Law, attended the seminar and presided over the discussion of the second unit of the seminar.
