China Law Society concluded it eighth national congress in Beijing on March 20, 2019. At the congress, a new leadership group of the Society was elected. Mr. Wang Chen, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, was elected chairman of the Society; Professor Chen Su, Director of CASS Law Institute and a member of the CASS Academic Committee, was elected vice chairman of China Law Society; Professor Sun Xianzhong, Professor Li Lin, Professor Chen Zexian, Professor Zhou Hanhua, Professor Mo Jihong were elected executive member of the Council of the Society; Professor Li Mingde, Professor Liu Renwen, Professor Liu Jingdong, Professor Zhang Sheng, Professor Xie Hongfei, Professor Xie Zengyi and Professor Xiong Qiuhong were elected members of the Council of the Society; Professor Li Lin was elected the deputy director of the Academic Committee of the Society; and Professor Liang Huixing, Professor Chen Zexian, Professor Sun Xianzhong, Professor Li Mingde, Professor Mo Jihong and Professor Zhou Hanhua elected members of the Academic Committee of the Society.
