The academic lecture “The Path to the Arbitration Reform in China: Reflections from the Perspectives of the Law and the Market” was successfully held at CASS Law Instituteon the morning of October 26, 2018.The lecture was given by Professor Gu Weixia from the Law School of University of Hong Kong and presided over by Professor Liao Fan, Head of the Research Coordination and Foreign Cooperation Department of CASS Institute of International Law. Professor Song Lianbin from School of International Lawof China University of Political Science and Law, Mr. Zhao Jian, Vice President of the Arbitration Court of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, and Professor Zhao Lei, an associate research fellow at CASS Institute of Law, served as the three commentators at the lecture. In the lecture, Professor Gu Weixia carried out a comparative study on the reform of Asian-Pacific arbitration system and Asian-Pacific arbitration market and analyzed the development and characteristics of the arbitration market with Chinese characteristics.
